Nintendo DS Lite, Sony PSP | 904 Views No Pilipala »

having problem selecting between PSP and DS Lite? no idea which type to choose? what are you considering? why can’t you make a choice? hmm… actually all this questions are really normal… cause i face the same problem before this as well… i even list it out in a table format… to compare this two game console… end up.. i bought DS Lite.. and now i got the PSP as well.. hmm..

comparison below is base on my personal experience…

Sony PSP 2000 (Slim)

Nintendo DS Lite

will get finger prints easily
2 screen, one of it is touch screen base

Online Yes, there’s no extra software needed, but there’s no touch
screen, which is quite hard to surf…
Yes, but Browser
software
is needed. Price for the browser is approx. RM 150
Price Approx. RM880 (include a 4GB memory card with pouch) Approx. RM 750 (including R4 card)

local range of one another to chat at once; embedded real-time clock; date,
time and alarm; touch-screen calibration. (Seriously, for this is good when
there’s friend who have the same game console… but… come to think of
it… after i bought it for so long.. i only use it once…so is like a
bit wasted…)
Battery Life: if you keep play… at most it can hold 2 days MAX i’m quite surprise with the battery life… cause it can
hold till quite long… which is good for the gamer
Game Type: more happening game, more on graphics more interactive game, such as nintendogs, cooking mama
Cons: 1. will get finger print easily 2. battery die real fast…
haih… and is hard for gamer to check out the battery status while playing
game -_-”
1. sound not loud enough 2. can’t play video… actually
with R4 card it should be able to view, but is hard to find the converter
3. can’t online without the Browser software card 4. is hard to play game
wireless with friend
Memory Card: Sony Memory Stick… 4GB memory can fit around 10 games max…
it depends on the game capacity
Micro Sd… 2GB memory can fit around 20 games max… and
it
depends on the game capacity as well. Comparing with PSP, DS game file size
is much smaller

Diner Dash

Computer games, Nintendo DS Lite | 731 Views 1 Pilipala »

The Diner Dash
Developer: Eidos Interactive
Category: Simulation
Release Dates: N Amer - 05/22/2007
Official Game Website
Also available on: Xbox 360, MB, NDS, PC, PS3, WII, PSP

The first ever game that i played using my Rose Pink PSP and guess what.. i used less than 3 days to finished the whole game.. ya this game is really addictive… once i play it.. is kind of hard for me to stop it… and… this is real good if you need some finger exercise.. kekeke… yeah.. you fingers need to move real fast.. every single buttons on the PSP is real important… if you are slower by few sec… you might lost a customer just like that…

did you see the top right bottles and cups with yellow outline.. yeah.. that’s where you can get the drinks and serve to the customer… and this will make the customer happier… whereby the chair on the right… with yellow outline.. that’s the chair that you should pass to the customer with small kids.. if you didn’t pass them the chair.. the kids will start crying non stop.. which will affect other customer… especially those BOOK WORMS… they hate noise… beiseds that… sometimes you might need to clean the floor too.. ya.. that what you will be able to choose on ur right screen too…

remember to check out the customer as often as possible.. else.. you wont be able to fulfill their needs on time… for example.. as what they show on the picture above… there’s a table of customer who request nuts.. so be sure serve them as soon as possible.. and get bonus 100 points from that… besides that beware of the customer who their “heart” is nearly fully white.. fully white means they not happy… in that case.. you can serve them some drinks.. which will make them happier… ^^

remember to serve the customer to their seat as soon as possible…

remember you only have two hands… so that means you only able to take two orders @ a time… so you have to move real fast ya…

Comment:
as what i think…. i think this game will be more relax if you use NDSL… cause NDSL have touch screen which you will be able to touch on the customer easily.. where by PSP.. you have to tap real fast and move left to right… right to left… top to bottom, bottom to top… real fast.. else.. you wont be able to fulfill all the needs.. phew… overall is a fun game… and i think this game is more suitable for a girl.. and i feel is like a waste if i use PSP to play this… cause this is actually a 2D game… so… hehe… nothing much on the graphics…i think it can be more exciting

Rating: 5/10

Nintendo DS Lite | 783 Views No Pilipala »

Category: Rhythm / Music
Release Date: Jul 26, 2007 (JP)
Publisher: Bandai Namco Games
Fun Rating: 4/5

Taiko no Tatsujin DS is a rhythm action game. Like other Taiko games, the player plays the notes of a chosen song’s drum part as they are displayed on the screen. This game can be played using the touch screen or the buttons. If you plan to play with touch screen, you better get another stylus ready… else it wont be fun.. hahahaha.. Taiko no Tatsujin DS has the ability to engage in 4 player wireless multiplayer, but i have yet to try it out.. i think i gonna try it out next week together with smashpOp… Users can also dress up and add decoration to the cartoon taiko characters, how you gonna get more decoration / dress for your taiko characters? just play as many songs as you can, try your best to hit the good record, once you get the good record.. then you will receive a letter together with the gift.. there’s how you can get ur decorations and dress.. hehee.. cute right…

this is how my current taiko character look like.. so funny lar.. hahahahaha…

when you see the “letter” icon means someone sent you a letter… remember check out ur letter box :p you might get a gift if you are lucky enough…

here’s how it look when you checking your mail… hmm.. too bad all in Japanese.. hmm.. but nvm lar.. when u see there’s a gift beside the letter icon… means someone sent you a gift.. which mean.. you will have one extra decoration for ur taiko.. hahahaha

here’s where you can choose your song… did you see the flower icon at the bottom, click on that to choose the mode of the song you would like to play, easy, medium or hard.. ^^ although all is in Japanese language.. but still.. i able to play… cool right.. but.. it will be better if the game is in english.. or if i can understand Japanese character will be better.. right right…

Unlock all songs
There are 6 songs to unlock. In order to unlock them, you need to play the Daily Training Dojo once a day. But you can just cheat your DS clock ahead a day to keep playing the dojo over and over. Keep doing this until you unlock 6 new songs.

Unlock Oni Mode
Play and pass 20 songs in hard mode to unlock Oni mode, the hardest mode.

this is how it looks like when you playing the Taiko game…

more news on Taiko Games.. hmm.. i have no idea what it say.. hahahaha

Overall this game was really cool.. hehe.. nice.. and can listen to the music at the same time.. i think is far better than Elite.. hehehe.. now i no need go to the Arcade Center to queue for this game anymore… i can just play it using my DS Lite.. hehe.. isn’t that cool.. right.. kekeke…

below are some videos i took while i playing the mario song… hehe

Cyclone Charger Stand for Nintendo DS Lite

Nintendo DS Lite | 547 Views No Pilipala »

OMG, now you can charge your Nintendo DS Lite in different way… this Cyclone Charger Stand lets you park your DS Lite quickly. While charging.. you able to see some special red light illumination…

But.. too bad… is only available in White, Enamel Navy and Ice Blue… where is my PINK Cyclone Charger Stand?? will they have one?

Price:
$ 9 (approximately RM36)

Features:
- NDS Lite charger stand with fashion design
- Features with red light illumination
- Safe and easy to use
- Connect the original, 3rd party NDS Lite power supply or USB Charger Cable to the charger stand and insert the NDS Lite into it for charging

What other’s say about Cyclone Charger Stand for Nintendo DS Lite?

Quality/Usability : The Cyclone Charger Stand is a fancy way of charging your DS rather than have your DS lay there. No power adapter/cable is included so you’ll have to use your own NDS wall adapter or a USB cable that charges the DS Lite.

To charge your DS Lite in the Cyclone Charger Stand, you’ll have to turn the DS upside down (USB port facing down). On the inside of the stand, is a USB plug that inserts into the DS. Inserting the DS into the USB plug takes a little of trial and error. Once the DS is inserted and a power cable is inserted into the stand, the DS will start to charge. The Cyclone Charger Stand lights up in red it is charging. Charging time is the same amount as if you were to just insert the cable into the DS. Unfortunately, the only way to tell if your DS Lite is done charging is by looking at the LED on your DS. If the orange light is lit, it means it is charging. If it is off, that means it is completely. The red LED on the Cyclone Charger Stand will still be lit up regardless if the DS is done charging or not.

On the front of the stand is a button. This helps with the removal of the DS Lite but pushing it up. If you have a case or silicone skin on your DS, you will have to remove it in order for it to fit into the Cyclone Charger Stand.

Conclusion : Overall, the Cyclone Charger Stand is just a fancy way of charging your DS. All it does is charge your DS in an upright position with a fancy red LED. Would have been nice if there was a green LED to state that it was done charging. Would of also been nice if there was a pink and black version.

* Collect and play with a huge array of items such as tennis balls, flying discs and even clothing accessories.
* Compete in obedience and agility trials to earn cash to buy even more dogs.

Nintendogs, which comes in three versions, features puppies of the most popular dog breeds, including Chihuahuas, Labrador retrievers, beagles and German shepherds. Each version of the game comes with six breeds to choose from at the start, and additional breeds are unlocked as you play the game or interact wirelessly with other Nintendogs players.

The Dachshund & Friends package includes:

* Miniature dachshund
* Golden retriever
* Beagle
* Pug
* Siberian husky
* Shih tzu

How Do I Play?
This is your pet, and although it doesn’t shed, it still needs your love. With the stylus, you pet your Nintendog, all the way from head pats to belly rubs. The more love you give, the more your Nintendog will bond with you. As your puppy becomes your best friend, you use the built-in microphone to teach your dog its name and many tricks! So after you train your dog to know its name, it will come to you (and your DS’s bottom screen) when you call its name. After it learns a trick, it will perform that trick when you tell it to. For example, after it learns the sit command, your pup will take a seat each time you say “sit.”

Of course, you need to care for your little pup. This includes regular feeding, watering, walking and bath time. If you’re a person who doesn’t play video games every day, don’t worry about anything bad happening to your Nintendog if you don’t get to it every day. Nintendogs don’t die, and they stay puppies forever. If you haven’t played the game for a few days, though, your puppy will be thirsty, hungry and might need a bath when you start the game up.

Your puppy needs to go out for walks, naturally, but these walks are special. In addition to giving your pup some exercise, your Nintendog will come across special item boxes. Inside these boxes are all sorts of goodies, from apparel to toys. With tons of items to be found, your Nintendog will always be stylin’ or at least have a fun ball to chase around.

Be The Best
Nintendogs isn’t all pet and prim. There are trophies to be won, and money to be made! Show that your Nintendog is best in show by winning the three events: disc competition, agility trials and obedience trials.

In obedience, you score big points when your puppy does a certain set of tricks at your command, so grooming and a good relationship with its master is vital. With agility trials and the disc competition, you’ll use the touch screen to throw a flying disc or lead your dog through an agility course. These two require some practice before you actually enter the events (although some dogs are just naturals at catching a disc).

With the money that you earn from the events, you can buy supplies and more dogs from the kennel! Don’t let your Nintendog get lonely. You can keep up to three dogs at a time, and you can store more at the “dog hotel” where they’ll look after your dogs.

Bark, Bark, Bark!
If another person is playing Nintendogs within the Nintendo DS’s wireless range, the two of you can meet up in Bark Mode. When you go into bark mode, your DS searches for a wireless partner. When you’ve found a match, your dog will play with that person’s dog!

You can also bring gifts into Bark Mode and swap ‘em with other Nintendogs players. Also, if you had not previously unlocked the breed of dog that you just met up with in Bark Mode, the breed will now be available in your kennel.

Bottom Line
This truly unique experience will do more than bring you and your Nintendog together. It opens your eyes to a whole new way to play video games!

below are some details about Nintendo DS Lite
With impressive 3D rendered graphics and ultra-bright screens, Nintendo DS Lite delivers cutting-edge portable games for fans of any genre. With the Nintendo DS Headset, you can talk and chat over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or voice command games.

System
With Nintendo DS Lite, dual screens and touch-screen technology allow you to interact with games like never before. Wireless communication allows you to experience real-time multiplayer gameplay, and the free Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service allows you to compete against players from around the globe.

Dual Screens
Two incredibly bright LCD screens offer one of the most groundbreaking gameplay advances ever developed. Each 3-inch screen can reproduce a true 3D view, with impressive 3D renderings that can surpass images displayed on the Nintendo 64.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
Ready to take on the world? Now, with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, you can connect wirelessly, chat and play with Nintendo DS owners across the globe. All you need to play is a Nintendo DS and a Wi-Fi-ready game. There are no subscription fees — the service is free!

Touch Screen Technology
The lower screen offers something never before provided by any dedicated game device: touch-screen capabilities.

You no longer have to rely on just buttons to move your character or shift perspectives. Navigate menus or access inventory items simply by touching the screen with a stylus or fingertip. The possibilities are limited only by developers’ imaginations.

The touch screen features a tougher film cover for durability, and the included stylus is stored in the back of the unit.
Microphone Port

A built-in microphone port means that with Nintendo DS, you only need to tell your games what to do.

The Nintendo DS microphone gives you even more ways to interact with your favorite games.

Wireless Network
With Nintendo DS Lite, you can connect with a local wireless network of up to 16 players. The wireless range can be an incredible 30 to 100 feet and for some games, multiplayer requires just one Nintendo DS game card.

Note: Nintendo DS Lite wireless communication, including PictoChat, is not private and is not monitored by Nintendo. We recommend that you never reveal any personal information or arrange to meet a stranger.

Rich Stereo Sound
Nintendo DS Lite sound capabilities allow for greatly expanded use of voices and music, and a richer, more immersive game experience. Stereo speakers allow for virtual surround sound and a plug for headphones transmits stereo sound.

Backward Compatibility
Nintendo DS Lite features a separate media port for Game Boy Advance cartridges, allowing you to play all your favorite Game Boy Advance games in single-player mode.
